Pyramids is lighting up for Christmas. Celebrating nine years on Main Street, Hilton Head Island, the shop has customers looking forward to the magical beauty they create each year.

Store manager Wendy White says, "I've been in retail for years and am a very creative person, but Mike Ruegamer's creativity knows no bounds. We had half a dozen upside- down trees last year! It was breathtaking."

Mike is half of the creative tour de force of Group 3 Architects and Interiors, and has won many awards for excellence in design. The store is his brain child. "People passing by often stop in and say they had to come in because we really do turn the shop into a holiday wonderland," continues Wendy. And it doesn't stop with the store. Pyramids offers home decorating from centerpieces to an entire house for some of the most beautiful homes on Hilton Head, such as Gail and David McRorie's Stella Centro. After the November open house, where each season's new lines are unveiled and customers are treated to samples and surprises, the shop is all about making customers' holiday dreams simple. They offer a free gift wrapping service and will send your purchases anywhere in the continental U.S. Special holiday treasures abound, including Mark Robert's Christmas fairies. This year they have eleven pipers piping, available in sizes ranging from ornament to table top and ready to place in any pose. They also have Lynn Haney's signed limited edition collectible Santas, from the small, family-owned business in Lubbock, Texas.

Root Candles are hand made in beeswax and paraffin and come in the most gorgeous holiday colors, complimenting tableware such as Eva Gordon's decorative porcelain pieces, plates and tiles with mounted fruits and vegetables. According to Wendy, “They look so realistic you could pull them off the plate."

Pyramids is the exclusive local retailer of Good Earth Pottery out of Mississippi, and Terra Firma Ceramics, both of which make perfect stoneware pieces for less formal dining. And to grace all that special tableware, they have scrumptious gourmet food items from Bella Cucina.
